I'm sick of everyone being sick.

This winter has been brutal for our family, and many others from what I hear, being bombarded with ear infections, sinus infections, bronchitis, etc. etc. etc. Some of you know that Nathan had tubes put in his ears just before his 1st Birthday. Just a few days ago, he just finished up another antibiotic trying to get rid of another ear infection. This was actually his first one since his tubes fell out of his ears. (The tubes have been out for just a couple of months). Well, he had a check-up on Thursday, March 26th, with the ENT. He removed the tubes and a bunch of wax from his ear canal and discovered that the ear infection hasn't cleared up yet. So, here we go again, on another antibiotic to try to clear that infection up. This poor little guy has been on so much medicine lately, I can't believe he's still sick. Oh, by the way, did I mention that his nose is not really icky and he has a terrible cough. He has two more days left on this antibiotic and another appointment the ENT on April 10th. If the infection hasn't cleared up by then, he will have to get tubes again and the doctor said he would consider taking his adenoids out.

What fun! That's just Nathan's story.

Marissa has had numerous issues with ear infections, fluid in her ears and sinus infections. Her doctor just recently recommended that she see an ENT. There is one that comes to his office once a week or once every two weeks. She saw her and was told that she has dysfunctional Eustachian tubes. Meaning she's going to need tubes put in.

More fun!

Marissa is supposed to go on Wednesday, April 1st to get her tubes. We'll be praying that it will help her problem.

Andy has suffered with a terrible cough that just won't go away. He's had bronchitis and been on antibiotics. His cough has returned once again and has been sleeping on the couch so that I can get sleep. Usually when Nathan is sick, he wakes me up a couple of times during the night and Andy didn't want to wake me with his coughing. Thanks dear!

Now, Daniel is sick and who knows what's going on with him. But his doctor gave him a prescription a while ago to fill when needed. Well, I think that time is now. He's coughing like crazy (unfortunately waking me up a few times during the night). So, hopefully this antibiotic will help.

So, are you tired of hearing me rant about sickness and antibiotic? I know I am.

I would just ask that you all keep our family in prayer to get sickness out of our home. You have visited long enough. You aren't welcome any more!!!

These are just some random pictures that were taken recently.

Nathan decided he wanted to get dressed to go outside, so he took it upon himself to get his "boots, hat, hands". As you can see, he got his boots on the wrong feet. But he gets an "A" for effort. He actually got his mittens on the right hands and his thumbs were in the thumb holes. Way to go Nate!
Nathan and Marissa think Anna's sunglasses are the coolest, so they both wanted to try them on.

I'm #1, I'm #1!

Here's my beautiful Marissa! She looks like a movie star with Anna's sunglasses on. Unfortunately I didn't get a picture of Anna wearing her own sunglasses. Maybe next time she's home.

And here's the star of the next Matrix movie. He should have been wearing Anna's sunglasses in this picture.

Let's open presents! Nathan has been waiting for daaaaaaaays!

"I don't know -- they've been telling me to leave these alone..."

"A Choo-Choo!!!!!!!" Nathan was so excited to get this.

Church Christmas Party

Our Pastor took some great pictures at the Church Christmas Party. This first one is Nathan and Hannah. Hannah is our Pastor's granddaughter. I'm surprised that this turned out as well as it did. Nathan was having a hard time sitting still and Hannah wanted to watch Nathan. What a couple of cuties!

Here's Nathan, Anna, Daniel and Marissa. Anna was being a bad influence and teaching Dan & Marissa how to smoke a candy cane. Bad Anna!

This is our family, Anna, Daniel, David, Nathan, Andy, Marissa and Kristan.

And this one is how we feel during the Christmas season. We're such a loving family!

Playing in the Snow

Last week we had our first "major" snow storm of the season. Nathan had a blast playing in the snow, but was bummed out that it wasn't packing snow. He was trying his hardest to make snowballs and throw them, but wasn't having much luck. Here are some pictures of his outdoor venture.

Visit with Sissy

Mommy had to take Marissa to an orthodontist appointment. Anna's college is not far from there, so they all went to a Mexican restaurant. They took out the camera and there was a lot of ham on the menu!

Painting Pumpkins

A couple of weeks ago I babysat a friend of Nathan's. Her name is Maryn. She's about 5 months older than Nathan, she'll be 3 in December. She is a smart little cookie. We took a trip to the Produce stand next to Walmart to buy pumpkins to paint, with the help of my Grandmother. I'm not sure if I would have been able to take both of them on my own. Here are some pictures of them painting their pumpkins. While Nathan was painting his, he kept using the green paint and saying "Hulk, Hulk". He used mostly green paint for his whole pumpkin.
I love the look on Nathan's face.

After Andy got home from work, he decided to paint one of his own. He showed Nathan how to paint the Hulk.
